Noura Hussein, a 19-year-old Sudanese woman, is sentenced to death for fatally stabbing the man her father forced her to marry.

Jordan Strum, the senior pitcher for the Girls Varsity Softball team, has been playing softball since she was little. That’s no different than millions of other athletes all across the country.

“‘This Is America’ Video Takes Nation by Storm” (5/8/18)

On May 5, 2018, Donald Glover took the Internet by storm with the release of his new single and accompanying music video, “This Is America.” Since its premiere, it has accumulated over 35 million views (at press time) on Youtube.

“Shana Hecht Beats the Odds, and the Competition, in Quest to Play College Lacrosse” (12/3/17)

Only 13% of female lacrosse players successfully make the leap from their high school to college teams, according to the NCAA. Even rarer, at only 3.8%, is getting the opportunity to playing lacrosse for a Division 1 school. Shana Hecht has conquered both odds and is headed to play Division 1 lacrosse next year at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.

“Williston Dance Ensemble Leaps Into the Spotlight” (10/28/17)

The Williston dance ensemble’s fall concert “Catch Me When…” is set to impress the student body with its variety of pieces and energetic dancers. The dance ensemble consists of 22 dancers, with each dancer bringing their own personal style and talent to the stage.

“‘Our Town’ To Hit Williston Stage” (9/22/17)

The fall play, “Our Town,” is set to impress Williston’s student body this October. “Our Town,” by Thornton Wilder, is a well-regarded production revolving around the themes of human life and companionship.
