UNIVERSITY GIRL MAGAZINE
Throughout the entirety of my junior year, I was Editor-in-Chief of University Girl: an inspirational and relatable magazine for the next generation of influencers who aspire to be confident, fearless, career-oriented, and trendsetting. I am a creative multimedia storyteller; I expanded University Girl from a handful of digital articles a month to a full-fledged print magazine complete with a Parisian picnic fashion shoot, articles on the newest makeup and skincare trends, and moving pieces covering the Black Lives Matter movement. I also shifted the Instagram to a more curated aesthetic and created a specific content calendar and brand kit, allowing University Girl to become the most popular and influential publication on campus, with readership and social media followers continuing to soar. Rebuilding the magazine from the ground up strengthened my brand management, strategic planning, digital marketing, and project management skills immensely. It also gave a platform to my exceptional written communication skills.
I have recently become the Creative Director at University Girl and have already got to work, focusing on the overall creative direction of the magazine and its brand. I manage all public relations aspects of University Girl, from the Instagram, press releases, event planning, and everything else thrown my way. Ensuring that all aspects of the digital and editorial fronts directly reflect the predetermined brand and aesthetic has been an amazing opportunity that I cannot wait to experience further.
